As I’m sure you are aware, diabetes is Australia’s fastest-growing chronic disease and the seventh highest cause of death.  Around 1.4 million people nationwide have it – half of them undiagnosed.  150 more are diagnosed every day and the annual cost to the health system is $1.2 billion – and rising.

The sad fact is that the vast majority of those with the disease could avoid it – but once diagnosed, there’s no turning back.  Diabetes stays with you for life and, as such, is a lifestyle issue – which is why Diabetic Living is such a vital magazine for those who confront the daily challenge of watching their diet, staying fit and dealing with the emotional and physical complications of this chronic condition.

Having myself lived with diabetes for more than 20 years, I am acutely aware of how tough it can be to stay on top of an often debilitating, disabling, depressing and isolating disease when all you want is to live your life to the full.

This quest for normality has been my inspiration in interpreting the needs of people who, like me, are constantly seeking ways to improve their quality of life and to feel part of a broader community that faces the same challenges.

Diabetic Living, with it's highest circulation ever of 50,809*, also has the highest year-on-year increase in the category and the largest increase since launch! Diabetic Living is published under the trusted Better Homes and Gardens masthead and should be displayed next to Better Homes and Gardens, in your high traffic front-of-store magazine display, to maximize sales.

Kind Regards,
